VENIO IMMIGRATION AND CITIZENSHIP CONSULTING PRIVACY POLICY

I. Excerpt from Section 28 of the Code of Ethics for Licensees of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (SOR/2022-128) on the Duty of Confidentiality

28 (1) The licensee is required to treat as confidential all information relating to past and present customers and their business activities obtained in the course of providing services, and to take the necessary steps to maintain its confidentiality indefinitely.

(2) The licensee shall not disclose or permit the disclosure of any information referred to in subsection (1) unless the disclosure is :

a) authorized by the customer;
-
b) required or authorized by law;
-
c) required by subpoena, warrant or order of a court, person or body with jurisdiction to compel the production of information, or required by rules of court relating to the production of documents;

d) required by the Collège in the exercise of its powers under the Act;

e) made to a person who assists the licensee in providing immigration or citizenship consulting services to the client;

f) deemed necessary to collect an overdue account;
-
g) deemed essential to respond, in a judicial or administrative proceeding, to allegations that the licensee or a person assisting the licensee in the provision of immigration or citizenship consulting services :

(i) has committed an offence relating to a customer's business,

(ii) has committed a violation relating to a customer's business exposing it to administrative sanctions or consequences,
-
(iii) has incurred civil liability for a fact - act or omission - concerning a customer's business,
-
(iv) has engaged in conduct under investigation by the Collège, the provincial bar or the Chambre des notaires du Québec.

(3) If the licensee discloses confidential information under subsection (2), it discloses only such information as is necessary to meet the specific purpose of the disclosure.

III Information gathering
We collect information when you fill in consultation, evaluation and contact forms, or interact with us via chat. The information collected includes your name, e-mail address and other information necessary to maintain a high quality of service.
In addition, we automatically receive and record information from your computer and browser, including your IP address, software and hardware, and the page you request.
When you therefore visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, your IP address, your time zone and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. In addition, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products you visit, the web sites or search terms that brought you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically collected information as "Device Information".
IV. Use of information
Any information we collect from you may be used for :
- Personalize your experience and meet your individual needs
- Improve our site
- Improving customer service and support needs
- Contact you by e-mail
- Handling your service requests
Generally, we use the Order Information we collect to process any order placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipment of your order or provision of the requested service, establishing consulting and professional service contracts, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). In addition, we use Order Information to:

- assess potential frauds or risks; and

We use the Device Information (in particular your IP address) we collect to evaluate potential fraud or risks and, more generally, to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analyses of how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to evaluate the success of our advertising and marketing campaigns).
We share your Personal Information with third parties who help us use it for the purposes described above (WordPress, Woocommerce, Google Analytics, Facebook Pixels, ...).
Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information that we receive, or to protect our rights or yours.
As mentioned above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertising or marketing messages that we think may be of interest to you. When you place an order or request a service through the Site, we keep your Order Information on file for 6 years; you may request that it be deleted after this period.

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.
CHANGINGS
We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect, for example, changes in our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
V. Privacy
We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. Your personal information will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company or government entity for any reason, other than as set forth in Article 28 of the Privacy Policy. VI. Disclosure to third parties
We do not sell, trade or transfer your personally identifiable information to third parties. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our Web site or conducting our business, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.
