Express Entry, Canada's economic immigration application management system, recently held four new rounds of invitations for prospective immigrants. These rounds included three draws focused on specific packages, a novelty that continues to prove its effectiveness.
The four new invitation rounds
The Express Entry system uses a point system, the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), to evaluate applicants based on factors such as age, education, work experience and language skills. Those with the highest scores are then invited to apply for permanent residency. This week, four new rounds of invitations were launched.
Drawing #256- July 7, 2023
This draw was aimed at applicants with French language skills proven by an IRCC-approved language test (TEF Canada, TCF Canada). It should be noted that the results of the language test must be valid on the date of submission of the application for permanent residence, otherwise the candidate must retake the test. The minimum requirement for the Federal Skilled Worker Program was CLB7 in all skills. For the Canadian Experience Class, the minimum requirement was also CLB7 in all skills for NOC FEER 0 and FERR 1 categories. For NOC RRIF 2 and RRIF 3 categories, the minimum requirement was CLB 5. Finally, for the Skilled Trades Program (federal), the requirements were CLB 5 for speaking and listening, and CLB 4 for reading and writing. A total of 2,300 invitations were sent out with a minimum score of 439.
