New Brunswick held a new invitation draw on March 5 and 6, 2025, as part of the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP). The draw involved two streams: NB Skilled Workers - NB Experience and NB Skilled Workers - NB Graduates.
Targeted professions and number of invitations sent out
A total of 498 invitations were sent to candidates in key sectors of the provincial labour market:
- Health Care
- Education and social and community services
- Construction trades
These areas are priorities because of the province's growing need for skilled workers.
Importance of targeted trades for New Brunswick and skilled workers
The professions selected in this draw are essential to the development and economic stability of New Brunswick. The healthcare sector is facing strong demand due to an ageing population and a growing need for medical and paramedical services. Healthcare professionals play a crucial role in maintaining an efficient and accessible healthcare system.
The field of education and social and community services is just as vital. The province is actively seeking teachers, special educators and social workers to meet the educational and social needs of a growing population. Access to quality education and support services strengthens social cohesion and the well-being of residents.
Finally, construction trades are essential to support infrastructure development and meet the growing demand for housing and commercial buildings. Economic growth and urbanization require skilled workers to ensure the completion of construction projects essential to the province's growth.
For skilled workers, these sectors offer attractive job prospects, professional stability and the chance to settle in a welcoming province that values their skills and expertise.
Invitation and application process
The New Brunswick Immigration (NB Immigration) Expression of Interest (EOI) system allows qualified candidates to express their interest in immigrating. Once the expression of interest has been submitted via the INB portal, ImmigrationNB analyzes the applications according to various criteria, such as labor market needs and available allocation.
It is important to note that meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee an invitation. Furthermore, receiving an invitation does not automatically mean obtaining a provincial designation. Selected candidates must submit a complete application within 45 days of receiving their invitation.
Next step for invited candidates
If you've received an invitation, make sure you prepare your application properly by gathering all the required documents. A well-completed application increases your chances of obtaining a provincial nomination and pursuing your immigration project to Canada.
