On January 28, 2025, British Columbia held a new draw for the Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) in the Entrepreneur Immigration category. Fewer than five invitations were sent to qualified applicants with a minimum score of 123 in the Basic and Regional streams.
Invitation conditions and criteria
Invitations for the Regional Entrepreneur Immigration (EI) program are issued approximately once a month. Applicants must be recommended by a participating community.
For the Entrepreneur Immigration (EI) Base component, targeted invitations may take into account several criteria, including :
- The candidate's registration score
- The region where the company will be based
- Population size of selected community
- Type of project (business start-up or buyout)
- Aligning the project with identified priority sectors
Draw frequency and impact
Score-only draws for the EI Base component are periodic, but may be limited to maintain standard processing times. This means that invitations are strategically distributed to support the province's economic objectives.
Next step for guests
Invited candidates will have the opportunity to submit their complete application in order to obtain a work permit and set up their business project in British Columbia. It is recommended to prepare a solid file to maximize the chances of approval.
